Abstract :
In this work we aim at evaluating the performance of our previously proposed method Weight Factor Mode (WFM), which is based on Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition (EEMD), in the case of cardiac arrhythmia. For this, we have used MIT-BIH Arrhythmia ECG database. Obtained results show high sensitivity detecting the heart rate activity (99.5%). We also found that, in order to achieve highest success rates, WFM requires manual selection of weight factors for each sample.
