Abstract :
In this paper a developed universal system for testing of electrical motors will be described. The research of stator and rotor faults of induction motors has a need for measurements of good and damaged motors under various loads and power supply conditions. This new diagnostic system allows a fully automatic measurement of all relevant values, like supply voltage, stator currents, shaft speed and torque and also gives the possibility to use custom measuring cycles with programmable load and supply conditions. A simplified mathematical model of the mechanical properties of the motor-coupling-brake system is proposed and the simulation results are compared with measured values.
