Abstract :
The method of moments developed by Junker, Kishk and Glisson (1994) is used to analyze stacked dielectric-resonator antennas (DRA) to verify the experimental concept. The antenna consists of two cylindrical discs of different materials stacked vertically, placed above a ground plane, and excited by a coaxial probe as shown. It is found that the probe position and length have a significant effect on the input impedance, resonant frequency, and bandwidth of this antenna. An impedance bandwidth of up to 35% is achieved by varying the antenna parameters.
