Abstract :
The early stages of the building design process are typified by the wide range of representational paradigms and unstructured data formats, which together form an initial conceptual scheme defining the eventual form and function of a building. We describe the design and creation of a multiperspective software application framework that supports the integration of disparate representational models, while preserving native information formats, and presents the application of this framework to an initial workspace which supports the conceptual design activities within a building design project.
