Abstract :
In location systems there are two important parameters, namely, the distance error variance and the detection probability, which are usually investigated. Both of them paly a major role for the performance of location systems. In practice, tradeoff between them is always carried out to improve the system performance under particular conditions e.g. in bandlimited channels. In this paper it will show a new approach MCR (Multi-Correlation Receiver) based on PN (Pseudo Noise)-Chirp codes improving the detection probability under multiply access in ultrasonic positioning systems while maintaining the system update rate.
