CoDMS - agent based cooperative data management system

With the development of network technologies, data management systems are required to work under distributed, heterogeneous and autonomous environments. Computer supported cooperative work (CSCW) provides an improved method to manage data comparing with current database management systems. In this paper, we generally describe the traditional multi-database management systems at first. Then, by introducing the idea of cooperative, an agent supported data management under cooperative environment (CoDMS) is developed to meet the requirement of cooperative applications. The intercommunicating and cooperating between users and databases is solved by using cooperative agents.
