  • Abstract
XML provides a set of standard methods to describe, acquire, deal with and publish information. It has brought a revolutionary influence to the whole network and is the hot spot in research of Web e-business applications. CORBA can solve interplatform problems by implementing distributed software integration. The paper discusses compatibility problems of XML used on the Web and resolvents based on CORBA, and designs an application system based on XML/CORBA - the new Web skeleton, XML Wrapper system. It integrates data of different sources into XML data, and reflects well the advantage of XML data in that their contents and forms are separated. This advantage has facilitated greatly data exchange and publishing in distributed applications involving lots of data like e-business applications. The paper discusses the design goal of the new Web skeleton XML Wrapper system, system structure, key technologies and implementations, and shows characteristics of the XML Wrapper system.
