Abstract
As the infrastructure of the worlds Transmission and Distribution System ages and associated grounding systems deteriorate, there is a growing need to test High Voltage Tower grounding systems as well as new installations also for baseline information. Up until now, there were basically only two options available: A. De-energize the System......or B. Temporarily lift the overhead ground conductor and/or disconnect any Counterpoise connections to the system, a time consuming, costly and potentially unsafe condition.
