Abstract :
The application of knowledge-based expert systems for the design of controlgear panels is considered. The design process requires knowledge, human experience, and skill, which are represented in a convenient way in a knowledge base. An attempt to formalize the problem in an explicit way and the goal of introduction of the expert system in a manufacturing line are described
