Abstract :
In this paper, we proposed a novel distributed feature library based on WebService technology-GS-FeatureLib. It envelops all the features of this library in the form of WebService and takes the XML document as the message format communicated between the feature modeling kernel and feature library server. The Modeling kernel invokes services by means of a set of new standardized Internet protocols. In a word, it provides an open, standardized, loose-coupling feature library, which is centralized logically, while distributed geographically. In addition, we also focus on the unified feature definition of both form feature and user-defined feature. The interactive process between the modeling kernel and library has been discussed in details in the last section, demonstrating how this novel architecture effectively works.
