Computer simulation of performance of a VSI fed medium and high power induction machine, based on constant “volts/Hertz” operation, from 10 Hz to rated 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 75 Hz is presented. Harmonic motor losses are evaluated, compared to a “loss model”. Efficiency characteristics are generated, compared and derating factor computed
