  • Abstract
The analysis of the dynamic behaviour of a solid rotor synchronous machine points out that the magnetic diffusion phenomenon can be represented by means of the dampening function. The dampening function can be expanded in a multi exponential form and several time constants issued from the series expansion can be identified by means of a characteristic time constant and the corresponding treeing diagram. The analysis of the treeing diagram and the error performed allows the identification of suitable equivalent circuits (d and q axis respectively)
