Abstract :
Despread-respread multi-target adaptive antenna arrays (DRMTAAs) have been proposed for reliable signal recovery and capacity enhancements in the reverse link of DS-CDMA systems. We consider possible capture effects in these devices. We show by simulation that, in some cases, capture effects cannot be neglected in DRMTAAs. We then propose the use of an auxiliary multiuser detection technique in conjunction with the antenna array so as to reduce such effects. Simulation results confirm the expected benefits
