Abstract :
A programmable bandwidth orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) radio system architecture for high capacity electronic news gathering (ENG) applications, especially for high definition television (HDTV) broadcasting is presented. Based upon Advanced Wave Research (AWR) design environment 2007, the programmable bandwidth OFDM radio system operation performance simulation has been achieved. The system development simulation platform is very important and useful for the high capacity Electronic News Gathering (ENG) design and other ultra wideband radio products development. The system simulation result shows that the programmable bandwidth OFDM radio system will provide considerable flexibility and upgradeability in the radio product development for high capacity ENG applications. The programmable bandwidth OFDM radio system simulation platform will provide a valuable prove of the concept for Software Defined Radio (SDR) development.
