Abstract
The transient response of an infinitesimal electric current source, having a general time dependence and located in a planar grounded dielectric slab, is obtained by inverting the three-dimensional Fourier transform of the spectral dyadic Green´s function associated with the integrated structure. Numerical examples are provided to investigate the behavior of the structure working under Gaussian pulsed excitation conditions. The numerical results show strong effects on the radiated fields depending essentially on the characteristics of the planar structure and of the source (location and time behavior)
