  • Abstract
    Ethernet passive optical networking (EPON) technology has lots of advantages, which have been implemented in many pilot projects. As the EPON technology´s development, we should consider the openness of EPON. In this paper, the great efforts made by the public network operators should be elaborated, but the standard proposed by China Telecom only can meet the basic requirements, and the interoperability of EPON in Power System has not been considered. State Grid listed that as a research topic, and then research group propose the solutions to realize the interoperability of special applications in Power System. The research group will release the interoperability standard of EPON in Power System, and all of things are according to plan.
