Abstract :
In this paper we present an approach for rewriting queries between heterogeneous ontologies. In our query rewriting solution, we combine the semantics and expressiveness of SPARQL with notions of logic programming and adopt a rule-based formalism for representing mappings between ontologies. We also deal with some relevant questions, including: structural heterogeneities and pruning of irrelevant parts of a rewritten query.
