Abstract :
An investigation has been formulated for a microwave band-pass filter, considering the non-ideal effects of the active devices and the lossy reactive elements. The filter section was constructed in hybrid form with lumped components and employs two NE71000 GaAs FETs. Also a cascade network was introduced for the design and construction of a second degree band-pass filter for the realization of a higher order filter. The feasibility of the proposed approach is illustrated by the computer-simulated design of a cascadable microwave band-pass filter. Finally, an optimization was used to obtain the final design and illustrative examples are given
