Abstract :
Simulated Moving Bed chromatography has become a widely used separation technology in die pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. In particular, the separation of enantimeric mixtures has received recently great interest because it can achieve good performances and high productions. SMB process is a typical hybrid system with both continuous and discrete variables. The thesis proposed the SMB process hybrid automaton model, by taking into consideration the state transition in the SMB process, and the validity of the hybrid automaton model is confirmed through a hybrid non-linear Benchmark model simulation.
