Abstract :
An adaptive finite element (FE) analysis of DC electric field in converter transformer is studied with the nonlinear and anisotropic characteristics of conductivity taken into account in this paper. A posteriori error estimation of the improved SHEPARD interpolation is used in the analysis. The contents of the paper includes governing equations, FE discretizing formulation, expressions of the conductivity, and several numerical examples. The comparison of the numerical results with that obtained by another researches to verify the validity of the method proposed.
