Abstract :
In this paper, a method for the linearization of a class of nonlinear descriptor systems, which consist of coupled nonlinear dynamical and algebraic equations, is proposed. First, under a group of nonsingular transformations, we transform the nonlinear descriptor systems into a given class of linear descriptor systems. Second, sufficient conditions on the transformations and on the nonlinear descriptor systems are derived. Finally an example is shown to illustrate the proposed method
