Abstract :
We present an information appliance prototype for seamlessly layering still and animated images atop newspapers, magazines or books. Screen images are displayed in accordance to the appliance´s position over the printed page, relying on a tiny camera. Building upon real-time image processing, pattern matching and position tracking, user interaction is enabled by anchoring hypertext and multimedia onto printed matter
