Abstract
An algorithm that consists of the mean filter of forward and backward predictor (MFB) and linear regression was used to estimate the parameters of a dog´s aortic sound from beat to beat using an exponentially damped sinusoid model. Two hundred and ten aortic sounds were synthesized by the estimated parameters. The error index was less than 1%. In general, the number of damped sinusoid components was from three to six, but the number of the dominant components was three
