Abstract :
Based on the experiment of KMnO4/O3 to oxidize nitrobenzene (NB) with low concentration in ground water, this test analyzed the reaction kinetic rules of NB degradation and showed that the compound potassium permanganate/ozone(KMnO4/O3) have strong synergetic oxidation effect. KMnO4 can induce O3 to decompose and produce a large amount of active groups of hydroxyl radical (-OH), improving the degradation efficiency of NB of compound KMnO4/O3 greatly compared with separate O3 and KMnO4. Under the three different technique conditions, all accorded with the apparent first-order kinetic reaction and the rate constant enhancement factor of NB degradation reached 1.48. At reacting time of 12 minutes, when adding 1.0 mg/L O3 and 0.8 mg/L KMnO4, the removal rate of compound KMnO4/O3 oxidation depredating NB in ground water reached above 95.3%.
