Abstract :
The electric field integral equation (EFIE), based on electromagnetic field equivalence principle, is solved with method of moment accelerated by fast multipole method (FMM). Having established the Pocklington integral equation of thin-wire antennas in infinite space, the fast multipole method is adopted to accelerate matrix-vector multiplication in iterative operation of linear system of equations. The numerical results show that fast multipole method is more efficient and can save more memory compared with method of moment, while the reasonable accuracy is maintained, and is provided as an available analytical method used for numerical simulation for electromagnetic scattering from electrically large size object with complicated structure.
