Abstract
In this paper, some models for the thin array wire for negative permittivity in metal-material, which is composed by parallel thin metallic wires are built. These models are based on constitutive relation and Ampere theorem. The reflection characteristic of spatial dispersion and transmission are also calculated by HFSS and FDTD method respectively. By the results we can see that this composite structure has the property of negative permittivity when incident frequency below the plasma frequency. The description of mathematical derivation exhibits very clear physical concepts and provides new approaches for better understanding of the negative permittivity effect.
