Abstract :
The Wide-Area Monitoring Analysis Protection Control System (WARMAP) is used for security and stability analysis and anti-accident measure in system development process in large-scale AC/DC parallel power grid. However, the WARMAP system should collect the required data from the Energy Management System (EMS) for calculation that not only increased the flexibility of the system but also extend the system development cycle. RTDS has wide application prospects in operation analysis, online stability analysis and decision of large-scale AC/DC parallel grid, because of parallel computing ability and expansibility. In RTDS an accurate model can be built, simulation data that is close to actual status of the power network operation can be obtained. By digital communication, the data from simulation is uploading to WARMAP system for Analysis and calculation, so that ensures the data accurateness and increases the portability, at the same time system development cycle is reduced.
