  • Abstract
This paper presents a new method to simulate the transient process of blocking up for induction motor. The transient field-circuit coupled model taking account of magnetic characters is combined with finite element (FE) method. The local magnetic saturation and hysteresis in the steel core is considered by combining time-stepping method with Preisach model. The inductances and resistances of end windings are included in the loop circuit equations. An example for a two-pole three-phase induction motor is analyzed with this method.
