  • Abstract
In order to determine the reasonable groundwater-intaking structure in the valley of Wulanmulun River, Shenmu county, Shaanxi province, corridor and seepage well ideal models are established respectively. The three-dimensional finite difference method is used to calculate the reasonable yield in the normal period or when the river is dry for 30 days. In the normal period, the water output of corridor is from 1106.89 m3/d to 1533.28 m3/d and that of seepage well is between 421.14 m3/d and 1022.16 m3/d; and when the river is dry, the water output will be 216.82 m3/d~523.44 m3/d and 148.17 m3/d~500.44 m3/d respectively. The calculation results show that the water-intaking effect of corridor is better than that of seepage well with more simply construction processes and lower construction cost. As a result, the corridor will be chosen to exploit water resource in the valley of Wulanmulun River.
