            Abstract :
Using 2 L-probe antennas as elements, the dual-band can be operated in GSM/PCS systems. The antenna can be used in a GSM/PCS indoor base station with operation frequencies of 900 MHz and 1.8 GHz. The copper rod is employed as an air transmission line and a short pin is employed as DC ground. The technique of L-probe fed patch antenna is employed for design of a dual-band antenna due to its several advantages: low cost, lightweight, ease of fabrication and wide bandwidth. An impedance bandwidth of 15% (lower-band) and 11% (upper-band) (SWR/spl les/1.5) and average gain of 6 dBi have been achieved.
