Abstract
A new stepped cavity-backed spiral antenna has been designed to improve the gain. The performance of this antenna was analyzed by the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The calculated results showed that this antenna has an obvious gain improvement over a cavity-backed spiral antenna with absorbing materials.
