Abstract :
A nonlinear method for solving the one-dimensional distribution of flux density in thin laminations is presented. The model assumes a sinusoidal flux density which is applied to the transmission line method to determine flux density distribution. The nonlinear relation of H to B establishes harmonics throughout the thickness which allows a more accurate calculation of losses. The harmonic content of the coil current can also be determined from a simplified magnetic circuit
