Abstract
A linear suboptimal control technique is presented which is applied to a voltage source induction motor drive. The main functions of the controller are to counteract external disturbances and to reduce the magnitude of the inrush current during frequency and voltage perturbations and load fluctuations. It is also designed for speed control and regulation with time. Controller inputs are directly related to measurable variables such as current and speed. The outputs are implementable variables such as the power converter´s voltage and frequency
