Abstract :
The new type orthogonal arc-suppression coil has less harmonic, is easily controlled and fast reacted. Through changing the conformation and winding way, can reduce the harmonic value. This paper deduces the orthogonal core harmonic, which is mainly caused by magnetic material nonlinearity. Mathematical analysis derives the control winding and working windings´ harmonic content. Simulation shows the harmonic content distinctly. Using as arc-suppression core this new orthogonal core will benefit the power system and the paper also demonstrates the principle of the ground fault protection system. The new system can make the grounding fault detection and compensation effectively and sensitively.
