Abstract :
A design is considered which makes use of the cross-correlation technique for pulse compression and is based on that of Demery and Parsons (1992). An increase to the resolution is expected from employing modulation coding, rather than BPSK techniques. The wideband propagation campaign is introduced, and two sounder designs are discussed giving an indication of the potential resolution enhancement
