An introduction to the Internet of Things from the perspective of the IEEE Internet of Things initiative

Summary form only given. This talk will provide an introduction to the Internet of Things, IoT, and its potential to provide new solutions to almost every aspect of Society. The Internet of Things is the Perfect Storm of advanced sensors, real time networks and massive data centers. Add to this combination of technology, new software applications that can process vast amounts of information at a cost not available just a few years ago. All of this will give government, industry and consumers the power to solve problems and create new clean industries.
