  • Abstract
The paper analyzes the power losses in induction heating appliance. Based on the theoretical analysis, two efficient ways are introduced to reduce the power losses. A novel fixed frequency phase control technique (FFP), which makes soft switching possible without changing the frequency of the circuit, is applied in full-bridge circuit. In addition, a calculation of the load resistance is presented so that the winding losses can be minimized by optimize the strands of wires. A simulation of the full-bridge topology is given, using the FFP control. Also, an experiment is taken to prove the feasibility of the soft switching.
