Abstract :
The paper describes the development of a variable step size window length adaptive algorithm based on the adaptive filtering theory. Analyze the algorithm generally used in micro-computer based protection relays and automation device. A variable step size adaptive window algorithm is proposed in the paper. Give the principle of the proposed algorithm and the way how to vary the step size and window length. The results of simulations proved that the algorithm possesses a good performance and is suitable for micro-computer based protection relay and automation device.
