Abstract :
Epilepsy is one of serious nervous system disease, now there is no-one the most effective treatment, changes of hippocampal structure is main cause of epileptic seizure, so PR model of hippocampal CA3c neurons is chosen object of study. This paper suggests an effective strategy to control PR neuron firing pattern. First, estimate the slow variables from fast variables using Unscented Kalman Filter (UKF), then choose this slow variables as feedback signal and form the closed-loop control system. The result of simulation shows this method well control the firing pattern of PR neuron, that Reasonable electrical stimulation can prevent and treat epileptic seizure is further demonstrated in theory.
