Abstract :
A novel stacked E-shaped patch antenna is proposed in this paper. As compared to the E-shaped microstrip patch antenna in Shen et al., (2000), which has an input impedance bandwidth of 33.8%, the proposed antenna has a higher input impedance bandwidth of about 38.41%. The radiation patterns of the proposed antenna are found to be relatively constant throughout the entire band of operation. Numerical simulation and experimental measurement of the proposed antenna are presented in this paper.
