Abstract :
Assembly sequence planning is an important issue of assembly process planning of research and development. In the network environment, assembly process generated from CAD model is one of the basic necessary of 3D assembly CAD/CAPP integration. The related technology: the extraction of the assembly design information, the planning of assembly sequence, the exchanging between CAD model and VRML model, the data interface definition of design/process, the visualization of assembly design model and assembly sequence in web platform, are researched. Based on this research, related technology are realized to prototype on 3D CAD platform CAXA, XML technology and 3D development API Java 3D. At last, taking the electromotor as researching object, a case run on the prototype is illuminated. This work should be the base of the web based 3D assembly CAPP application research and development.
