Abstract :
A new algorithm for the spectrum estimation of nonstationary signals is presented. The model is based upon the time-varying amplitude. The amplitude distribution can be computed for all times and frequencies to obtain a power distribution. Numerical examples indicate that the new approach has the advantages of simple computation and accurate time-frequency resolution
