RF transceivers and building blocks

The rapid development of new wireless standards requires continuing innovation in both radio architecture and circuit implementations. New technologies are constantly making new approaches viable where only a few years they would have been impractical. Recently much work has been done to further raise the level of integration of radios for portable devices. In particular work is progressing on the development of integrated power amplifiers. As well the digital processing power of CMOS is being exploited to make radios that are more adaptive and less sensitive to process variation.
