Abstract
Using a fundamental theorem of blind equalization, the blind channel equalization problem is posed as a nonconvex optimization problem. The problem is then transformed to an orthogonalization and a search for an optimum set of angles for plane rotation. The optimum rotation angles are subsequently determined using the genetic algorithm. The adaptive version of the proposed equalization technique is also discussed and its performance is evaluated via simulations.
