Abstract :
This paper presents modeling and simulation of the cycloconverter-feed synchronous motor drive with air-gap flux oriented control method based on Matlab, especially the effects of harmonic on power grid are studied. Then its harmonic suppression method is studied. APF with vector operation of Unified Constant Frequency Integration (UCI) control is presented in this paper. Circuit model of APF with this method is set up with PSIM. Simulations are performed with this kind of APF applied to different nonlinear loads, including cycloconverter load. Load-adaptability of this APF is analyzed in the condition of normal and abnormal source voltages. Satisfactory simulation results validate the theoretical analysis.
