  • Abstract
This paper, using the ecological water requirement of Western Route of South-to-North Water Diversion Project as the research object, considering the operability of ecological water demand, sets up concrete objects of ecological preservation in water-exporting areas from the perspective of water-cycle, establishes a integrating computational model of the ecological water requirement, then uses the model to calculate the ecological water demand. The results showed that the ecological base flow of each control section is more 10% than the average annual flow during Oct and Mar; more than 30% in the breeding season time from Apr to Sep, which reach a good standard. The results show that the model is of practical value.
