Abstract :
The efficient ECG signal analysis leads to dependable heart health diagnosis. The ECG signal is constituted by P-QRS and T waves. The R-peak is an important fiducial point for further ECG signal analysis. In this paper, an efficient R-peak detection algorithm has been proposed. This will lead to formulation of heart rate from highly accurate R-R interval time series which helps in dependable cardiovascular variability studies. For the standard MITIBIH and Fantasia database, this algorithm correctly measures heart rate with 99.76 percent accuracy.
