Reflections

What you see before you this year, is the result of many years of continuous iterative refinement of the submission process and information processing. This year, however, as the economic situation persists, we continue to provide a reduced-featured Digest, in which the continuation pages (typically including a micrograph and occasionally summary data) have been eliminated from the print version (only), but are available in the Digest DVD and in IEEE Xplore. Both to reduce cost and to be more-green, we continue to use partially recycled paper along with a just-in-time printing process.
