Abstract :
The present paper deals with global fractionally spaced blind equalization problem under a frequency selective channel in the presence of gaussian noise. This is formulated as an unconstrained optimization problem via the use of a generalized pattern search algorithm and one new fourth order asymmetrical modulation proposal. Simulation results in terms of intersymbol interference and a new performance measure show that the proposed approach achieves perfect global convergence behavior together with correction of the random phase rotation of the constellation.
