Abstract :
Traditional classical load models are inappropriate to describe dynamic characteristics of load buses when a higher proportion of power source is contained in area load demands. To solve the problem, this paper presents a new generalized load model structure of power systems and the determination method for parameters of the load model, which is also given in detail. Hybrid measurements from EMS and WAMS are both used to determine the parameters of the load model. Parameters of the equivalent generator branch and the pure load demand are obtained by the theoretical equivalent method and the model identification method respectively. Application results show that the model and the parameter determination method are feasible and valid.
